Idk where to put this so its goin here but like… Alice and Jasper meeting in a different setting, he’s a little wild and tortured from his escape from his past and the mistakes he’s made since then and Alice finds him when she’s hunting.

She knew he was there, of course she’d seen this exact moment when she’d decided on him, but she hadn’t known the exact emotions that would slam into her chest the second her golden eyes met his crimson.

He’d ponder, quiet and questioning. Why was she here, why didn’t she attack and why oh why did he want to protect this tiny creature so badly.

“You’re not the quarry I was lookin for.” His voice would be deep and pained, Alice’s hands trembling as she tried to remember just how this played out. She was so used to knowing, to seeing, but she hadn’t factored in how her heart would react.

“You’re exactly what I’ve been looking for.” Her voice would carry all the knowing she held before she’d stepped into the woods.

His scars would shimmer in the dim light, shirt torn and bloodied from something that smelled so divine to Alice it could only be human. And he’s watch her, red eyes working through it all while Alice waited for him to decide. Waited for him to make a move.

“Well, I’m sorry to keep you waiting, ma’am” The smile that came was soothing and haunted, Alice’s own bursting at the seams with excitement.

“You’re here now and I’ve got just the future for you.” She’d move closer, slow as she could handle so he didn’t startle, and put a calm hand on his shoulder. “But you have to decide. I decided on you a long time ago, you know.”

“And who might you be that I have the honor to choose?” That tremor in his throat, the disbelief that he can feel this way after so long as he bathes in the truthful joy radiating from her.

“I’m Alice.” Her mouth would open to continue but instead she’d bite her lip and let him take the introduction.

“Jasper Whitlock, at your service.” His last name sent a pain through him, the memories of who he used to be and who he could have been coming to the front.

“Oh, I know.” Alice would soften, seeing all the ways he’d already chosen her. How it all lined up in her mind. “I think we’re going to have a wonderful time, you and me.”
