It’s nearing 11pm on a Friday night at Hogwarts, 1978. Attacks on Muggleborn and Blood Traitor pupils are becoming more and more frequent.
Lily is on a Prefect Round, checking students aren’t milling about the corridors what with the curfew imposed these last few weeks.
She has her wand up stowed carefully up her sleeve – it isn’t safe to not be on guard at all times these days.
When the Head Girl hears a noise behind her, her wand jumps into her hand.
She frowns into the darkness. She was sure she heard something…
