okay but we don’t talk about remus and james’ friendship enough

– these two most definitely have study sessions together every day. remus keeps james focused and james keeps remus awake. you’ll often find them sitting in the library, on the windowsill in the dorm, or out in the school grounds, working quietly and muttering questions to each other now and then

– when james gets bored in class he always doodles on remus’ arms and remus will realise half way through the day that there’s a badly-drawn dick on his wrist or something

– they actually have a lot of inside jokes between them

– remus is good at bringing out james’ more serious side, and james is good at reminding everyone that deep down, remus’ humour can be just as dumb and childish as his own

– like, everyone sees remus as the sensible marauder who knows when to put the others in place, but no one is better at proving them wrong than james. the number of times people have seen he and remus in tears of laughter, falling into each other as they patrol the corridor on duties; and you can always bet it’s over the stupidest joke imaginable

– they have this bromance thing going on that only sirius, peter and lily really see. james will carry remus’ stuff when he’s too tired or sore, remus always brings water for james after quidditch practice, and it’s not unusual to find them passed out together at the end of a party they’ve probably ended up kissing or making out while they’re completely drunk but hey bros will be bros

– remus never laughs at james for being a secret nerd, and always lets him rant about new doctor who episodes or the latest fantasy novel he’s picked up

– equally, when remus needs to complain about that girl who used ‘their’ instead of ‘they’re’ in class today or the fact that he got a fucking b- on that essay when it definitely deserved an a, james is always there to listen and encourage him like ‘yea fuck that teacher you’re a fucking star bro’

– their school timetables always seem to match up really well so they walk together between classes all the time 

– i should also mention that the snapchats they send to each other are legendary
