“From Now On” from The Greatest Showman read-through performance. Featuring Hugh Jackman, Jeremy Jordan, Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Keala Settle

The Greatest Showman has been described as Hugh Jackman’s “passion project”. It took 7 and ½ years to get this film made, and he was a big part in pushing for that to happen. I think because of this movie being his passion is the reason why on the final song, of this rehearsal to get the movie greenlit, he couldn’t just sit back and let someone sing this song. I think “From Now On” is Hugh’s anthem in a sense. And seeing his passion, and the literal blood, sweat, and tears he put into this movie is remarkable. The fate of this movie was resting on this rehearsal, and the last song is the thing that stays with people when they walk away, and Hugh knew that and absolutely killed it.

Another thing is, because of doctors orders he hadn’t sung all day. He did not warm up. This was just him. This was raw. This was emotional. This was an act of true talent.

I cry every time I watch this because the way he sings and performs in this video makes me feel something. So hats off to Hugh, because after seeing this video no one can ever doubt his passion and dedication for this film.
