i bet virgil can knit

i bet patton taught him

Nah I bet it was Logan. It’s a calming technique that Logan wanted to pass onto his friend so that he would be able to have something stimulating to focus on when things get bad. Every time Virgil finishes a new piece he shows Logan who compliments his ever growing skill. Patton and Roman get little knitted gifts from the two every Christmas.

I need a fic, or a drawing or SOMETHING cause this is the cutest thing ever

Logan knocks on the door to Virgil’s room, waiting anxiously for the side to answer. Heh, anxiously. Patton would enjoy the pun. Eventually Virgil does answer, his hair even messier than usual and the bags under his eyes prominent without the black eyeshadow to cover them. Even his clothes are rumpled and creased, as if Virgil had lived in them without pause for a few days.

Once Logan has swept a quick scrutinizing of his friend, he states, “You aren’t doing well.”

“Great observational skills Teach.” Logan doesn’t need flash cards to know that was a blatant use of sarcasm, but he brushes past it.

“Yes which is why I have brought you these.” Logan brandishes his gift, a basket with balls of yarn and four needles sticking inside them.

Virgil just raises an eyebrow at the gift. “Yarn and needles. Oh joy, are we becoming grandmas now?”

“No my friend, I am going to teach you how to knit. It is a very calming exercise that I think may help you.” Logan holds out the basket again and Virgil sighs, opening the door and stepping aside to let on the logical side.

Logan hurriedly enters, knowing fullwell that he could be denied entrance at any time. He gives a passing glance at the obvious chaos of the room, evidence of how bad Virgil really is doing. But it’s only a passing glance before Logan sets down his basket at the foot of a chair and sits himself down. Virgil sits down in a chair opposite him and glances moodily around.

“Now now Virge, don’t knock it till you try it. Go ahead and pick out a ball of yarn,” Logan prompts, already grabbing the blue yarn he wants to work with.

“Alright, now what?” Virgil asks with a lilac ball in hand. Logan smiles and jumps into the instructions.

When Logan leaves the room hours later, the clutter he had walked into has ordered itself into its usual level of messiness. Virgil holds a asymmetrical scarf and pauses Logan before he can walk out of the room. “Hey, do you think we can do this again sometime?”

Logan smiles warmly. “Of course we can.”

I Loved it!!

hhhnnn this is so cute, now i’m imagining them having a designated knitting days they have big comfy chairs and they play nice music in the background,l. sometimes they talk but most of the time not and they just enjoy the peaceful silence.

rainy days where they knit, calm nights where they knit out on a porch and enjoy the stars. knitting in the winter and reading creations and wearing their new scarves.
